Fishing for Small Gods was a site-specific installation created for the You Are Here exhibition organized by Things Feel Heavy at the Carr Center in Detroit, MI. It was made in collaboration with  artist Will BeDell and lived on the third floor of the building from November 2 - December 18, 2016.

The installation questions our role as humans in the environment and the direction of progress in urban spaces. As experiences with nature in its true form become increasingly rare, one must actively develop their own personal relationship to the world around them. What will our cities look like when they are taken over by trees and vines, hundreds of years from now? What will the traces of civilization say about our culture and values as the dominant species on planet Earth?
